Current Generation ALPINE
This section is designed for current-generation ALPINE hybrid and touring models from late 2024 onwards, including ALPINE-14, 15, 16, 18.6 ELEVATE, 18.6 EXPLOR and 19.6 EVOLUTION.
Current-generation ALPINE models combine composite construction, lithium power systems, intelligent charging platforms and off-road touring capability designed for Australian conditions.
Some ALPINE campers include optional upgrades, running changes or custom specifications beyond standard factory inclusions outlined throughout this support guide.
ALPINE support is coordinated through our Sunshine Coast team, with Australia-wide support agents and component manufacturers assisting where required.
Before You Travel
A quick pre-departure inspection can help prevent the majority of common touring issues and ensure your ALPINE is ready for safe long-distance travel.
This is not a replacement for scheduled servicing or manufacturer maintenance requirements — it is a practical ownership checklist before travel.
Inspect tyre condition, pressures, wheel nuts and visible suspension hardware before every trip — especially after storage or rough-road touring.
Confirm Cruisemaster suspension ride height is correctly set using the wheel arch ride-height guide before towing.
Check electric brake operation, manual handbrake function and breakaway battery status before departure.
Verify lithium battery charge levels, solar input and Anderson charging operation using your REDARC or Victron monitoring system.
Check tank valves, filler caps, pump operation and visible plumbing fittings for leaks before leaving.
Confirm electric pop-top roofs are fully lowered and locked, awnings secured and external hatches properly latched.
Check trailer lights, indicators and reverse camera operation before travel. Some vehicles require driving lights or trailer activation for camera power.
Confirm the DO35 coupling is fully engaged, safety chains correctly fitted and Anderson plugs securely connected.
Power Systems
Current-generation ALPINE models use different REDARC/Redvision or Victron/Garmin power platforms depending on the model range. Your camper may also include optional upgrades beyond the standard specifications listed here.

Standard compact hybrid power setup built around REDARC charging and RedVision monitoring.
2 × 200Ah lithium batteries.
Roof-mounted solar as standard.
May be upgraded to Alpha 100.
System monitoring and control.
Dual Axle Touring Platform
Standard dual axle power setup built around REDARC Alpha-100 charging, Redvision monitoring and larger lithium capacity.
2 × 330Ah lithium batteries.
Upgrades available to 1200W.
Plus 3000W inverter.
REDARC Alpha 100 solar and DC-DC charging.
Dual Axle Touring Platform
Standard power setup built around the VICTRON Multiplus II inverter/charger, GARMIN monitoring and serious lithium capacity.
3 × 330Ah lithium batteries.
Plus external solar input.
5000W Inverter / 120A 240V charger.
VICTRON 50A solar and DC-DC charging.
Keep roof panels clean and unobstructed. If using portable solar through the external solar input, use an unregulated panel so the onboard charging system can manage the solar correctly.
Where possible, connect the van to 240V during long-term storage so the onboard REDARC or Victron (optional system) charging system can maintain lithium batteries correctly.
If systems are not responding, start with battery charge level, main power status, inverter state, fuses, breakers, app connectivity and whether the display is locked or asleep.
Power Guide
Water Systems
Current-generation ALPINE models are designed for extended touring with large onboard water capacity, 12V pumping and practical grey water management.
Current-generation ALPINE compact models typically include 2 × 120L fresh water tanks, with dual axle 18.6 and up builds upgraded with an additional 120L tank with a total of 360L.
Each fresh water tank has its own fill point and tap. For better weight balance and easier monitoring, manage tanks individually rather than assuming they will drain evenly together.
If water flow is weak or pulsing, check tank levels, pump power, fittings, filters and air in the line. After refilling, run taps until flow becomes steady.
ALPINE models include an 80L grey water tank. Before travel, confirm the grey water valve is closed and fittings are secure.
Use inline filtration where possible, especially when filling from remote or unknown water sources. Inspect and clean filters regularly.
After long storage periods, drain old water, flush tanks and lines, inspect fittings and run fresh water through taps before travel.
Heating, Cooling & Hot Water
Current-generation ALPINE models combine hydronic diesel heating, diesel hot water systems and 240V air conditioning designed for Australian touring conditions.
Current-generation ALPINE models use Dieselheat hydronic hot water and cabin heating systems paired with Eberspächer diesel furnaces for efficient off-grid comfort.
Allow hydronic diesel systems time to reach operating temperature. If systems fail to ignite or produce heat, check diesel levels, battery voltage and airflow.
Roof-mounted Houghton air conditioners require 240V operation via external power or compatible inverter systems depending on your ALPINE specification.
Use roof hatches, windows and ventilation strategically to reduce condensation and improve comfort during humid or tropical touring conditions.
If heaters smoke excessively or smell strongly of diesel, inspect intake airflow and check for dust build-up or restricted ventilation.
Diesel heating systems are designed to minimise battery draw compared with electric heating, making them ideal for extended off-grid touring.
Climate Systems
Interior Living Systems
Current-generation ALPINE models combine lightweight composite construction with practical touring layouts, modern appliances and durable interior finishes designed for Australian travel conditions.
Current-generation ALPINE models use insulated composite wall, floor and roof construction for lightweight towing, improved rigidity and better thermal performance.
Electric pop-top roof systems should be kept clean and inspected regularly. Lubricate moving mechanisms periodically and check seals before storage or major trips.
ALPINE models may include external Evakool fridge slides, internal upright domestic fridges or larger 200L refrigeration systems depending on model and specification.
Depending on specification, your ALPINE may include OGO composting toilets, LOO-SEALED bag systems or Clesana heat-seal toilets.
Clean imitation leather upholstery regularly using mild non-abrasive cleaners and avoid prolonged UV exposure where possible during storage.
Directional 12V cabin fans help improve airflow and reduce condensation during humid conditions or warmer off-grid touring environments.
Some ALPINE models include optional compact washing machines. Ensure water fittings remain secure and drain systems are clear before operation.
Starlink systems can operate effectively from ALPINE off-grid systems when configured correctly and used within available power limits.

Servicing Standards
Routine servicing helps protect towing safety, suspension performance, braking reliability and long-term ownership confidence.
ALPINE recommends using a reputable caravan, trailer or 4WD service agent familiar with off-road suspension, electric brakes, wheel bearings and heavy-duty towing components.
Contact ALPINE SupportInspect and repack bearings at regular intervals, especially after water crossings, beach driving, rough roads or extended touring.
Check Cruisemaster 12” electric brakes, brake wiring, brake controller operation and the breakaway system before major travel.
Inspect Cruisemaster ATX suspension, airbag lines, bushes, bolts, tyre wear, camber, toe and general suspension condition.
Grease and inspect the DO35 coupling, check ARK jockey wheel operation and inspect safety chains, shackles and attachment points.
Keep records, photos and invoices from servicing. This helps with future support, warranty assessment and long-term ownership history.
Exterior Care & Maintenance
Current-generation ALPINE models are designed for Australian touring conditions, but regular cleaning, inspection and preventative maintenance remain critical for long-term ownership.
Wash composite panels regularly using mild automotive soaps and soft wash mitts. Avoid aggressive cutting compounds or harsh chemical cleaners.
After beach driving or coastal touring, thoroughly rinse the chassis, suspension, underbody and fittings with fresh water to minimise corrosion risk.
If fitted, clean polyurethane Speedliner coatings using mild soap and soft brushes. Avoid petroleum-based solvents or harsh pressure washing at close range.
Regularly lubricate hatch hinges, locks and moving hardware using suitable silicone or dry-film lubricants to minimise dust ingress and premature wear.
Dust, salt and road grime reduce solar charging efficiency. Clean panels regularly using soft brushes and low-pressure water.
Retract awnings during strong winds and storms. Inspect anti-flap kits, brackets and awning arms regularly for movement or wear.
Inspect roof seals, hatches and external penetrations regularly for signs of deterioration, dust ingress or water intrusion.
Where possible, store your ALPINE undercover or use a breathable caravan cover to reduce UV exposure and weather-related deterioration.
Storage & Long-Term Care
Proper long-term storage practices help protect batteries, plumbing systems, upholstery, seals and exterior finishes while reducing preventable maintenance issues.
The majority of preventable caravan issues occur during storage — not while travelling. Small routine checks can significantly improve long-term ownership reliability.
Where possible, keep your ALPINE connected to suitable 240V power during storage so onboard REDARC or Victron charging systems can maintain lithium batteries correctly.
Slightly open roof vents or windows where safe to do so to improve airflow and reduce condensation build-up during humid weather or long-term storage.
Drain tanks and flush plumbing systems periodically if the van is stored for extended periods, especially in warmer climates or tropical conditions.
Store your ALPINE undercover where possible or use breathable caravan covers to minimise UV exposure and weather-related deterioration.
Apply anti-corrosion sprays periodically to exposed chassis components, suspension hardware and vulnerable metal surfaces — especially after coastal or beach touring.
Empty fridges, clean food areas, remove perishables and ensure soft furnishings remain dry before extended storage periods.
Inspect seals, hatches and external penetrations regularly for deterioration, movement or signs of water ingress before and after storage.
Before storing your ALPINE, ensure awnings are dry, roof systems are fully lowered, tanks emptied where required and all systems powered down appropriately.
