A MESSAGE FROM BRIAN JOHNSTON

Built for the
Next 25 Years.

The Australian caravan industry is changing. So is the way we build ALPINE.

BRIAN JOHNSTON DIRECTOR · ALPINE CAMPERS 25 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

There’s no question the Australian caravan industry is changing.

Recent events have created understandable uncertainty for customers, owners, suppliers and people considering their next caravan. It’s unfortunate to see long-standing businesses facing these challenges, particularly when employees, suppliers and customers are affected.

But change in this industry isn’t something that has happened overnight.

I’ve spent more than 25 years designing and developing recreational vehicles, and several years ago it became clear to us that the traditional way of manufacturing and selling caravans needed to evolve.

We could continue doing things the way they had always been done, or take everything we’d learned over 25 years and build ALPINE differently.

We chose differently.

A DIFFERENT MODEL

We changed the way we build.

Our objective wasn’t simply to reduce the cost of manufacturing.

We wanted a model that gave us greater control over the ALPINE product, access to advanced manufacturing technology and materials, more consistent production and the ability to put greater value into the finished camper.

We invested in dedicated offshore manufacturing capability around our own ALPINE designs, specifications and engineering requirements, rather than relying on the large factories producing numerous brands and products.

That has opened the door to manufacturing processes and materials including robot-welded chassis and PVC composite panels engineered specifically to our requirements.

It has also allowed us to streamline production and concentrate our Australian operation on the areas where we believe it adds the greatest value.

WHERE IT MATTERS

What happens here in Australia is critical.

An ALPINE isn't simply produced offshore, put on a ship and handed to a customer.

Some of the most important systems that determine how an ALPINE performs on Australian roads, tracks and campsites are deliberately specified and completed here.

That includes Cruisemaster ATX airbag suspension and Cruisemaster hydraulic disc brakes, now standard across the ALPINE range, with automatic levelling standard across our dual-axle models.

Our electrical systems have also taken another significant step forward.

Victron MultiPlus-II inverter/chargers are standard, including 3000W systems across the ALPINE-14, ALPINE-15 and ALPINE-16, and 5000W systems across our 18.6 and 19.6 models.

Our larger 18.6 and 19.6 campers now include 900Ah of lithium battery capacity as standard, while Garmin provides the central monitoring and digital switching platform throughout the ALPINE range.

We also specify diesel hydronic heating for both hot water and interior space heating, providing an integrated solution particularly suited to extended and all-season touring.

These systems, together with Australian completion, commissioning, testing and final quality control, are an important part of how we build an ALPINE.

OUR APPROACH TO VALUE

Built in.
Not added on.

One of the biggest benefits of changing our manufacturing model has been our ability to put more equipment into the camper as standard.

We don't want customers starting with a base caravan and then discovering that much of the equipment they really want for extended off-grid touring sits on an upgrade list.

We'd rather engineer those systems into the camper from the beginning.

It has allowed ALPINE to sit in what we believe is a very strong position: premium construction, proven component partners, serious off-grid capability and a high level of standard equipment at a competitive price.

We're not trying to build the cheapest caravan.

We're focused on delivering genuine value for the level of construction, technology, equipment and capability included.

After 25 years, we've learned where it matters to invest.

MORE VISIBILITY. MORE CERTAINTY.

We've changed the way you can buy one, too.

The other thing we've been thinking carefully about is confidence.

Buying a caravan is a significant investment, and particularly in the current environment, I understand why customers want greater visibility and certainty around what they're buying.

So today there are two ways to purchase an ALPINE.

01AVAILABLE NOW

Choose an ALPINE that's already built.

We're now deliberately building selected models for stock.

For customers who don't want to wait for a production slot — or simply want the confidence of seeing exactly what they're buying — this provides another option.

You can visit our Sunshine Coast headquarters in Kunda Park, step inside the actual camper, inspect the construction and equipment, understand its exact specification and know what you're purchasing.

And because it's already built, you can get on the road sooner.

02BUILD YOURS

Or build yours.

For customers who want to configure an ALPINE around the way they travel, we continue to build to order.

We've structured that process to provide greater visibility throughout the build.

10% COMMENCEMENT
DEPOSIT

As your camper progresses through production, we provide production photographs and live updates, allowing you to follow your own ALPINE as it takes shape.

The final balance isn’t required until your camper is nearing completion and entering its final finishing, commissioning and testing stages.

Customers then have the opportunity to see their ALPINE before handover.

For us, it's about keeping customers connected to what we're building and giving them confidence throughout the process.

Build Your ALPINE

25 YEARS BEHIND US. BUILT FOR THE NEXT 25.

The experience to recognise when things need to change.

I'm proud of what the past 25 years represents.

But I don't think an anniversary should only be about looking backwards.

Those 25 years have given us the experience to recognise when things need to change.

They've shaped the campers we're designing today, the materials we're using, the manufacturing technology we're investing in, the component partners we choose and the way we work with customers.

The caravan industry will continue to evolve.

So will ALPINE.

Our focus is not on preserving the way things have always been done. It's on building a better product, a more efficient manufacturing model and a stronger business capable of supporting ALPINE owners well into the future.

The first 25 years gave us the experience. Now we're building ALPINE for the next 25.

If you're considering an ALPINE, I invite you to come and see what we're doing for yourself.

Visit us at our Sunshine Coast headquarters in Kunda Park, meet the team, inspect the latest ALPINE range and our models available now, and take the time to look through the construction, equipment and systems that go into every camper.

We'll happily show you around.
